"Yes sometimes people do not understand the philosophy and meaning of yoga described in our Bhagawad-gita. There it is explained that yoga is a movement that is synchronized with breathing and a mind that is centered and calm. The goal is as a way to practice self-control," he explained.
In addition, he also explained in the Bhagavat-gita verse 6.47 yoga has the meaning of true self-control. "Yoga is really about learning to control oneself, the senses, and trying to connect with the Personality of God. As stated in the Bhagavad-gita by Sri Krishna, the pinnacle of all yoga is Bhakti Yoga. Yoga to always remember and love the Supreme Personality Godhead, the Lord of all yoga mystics in accordance with the Bhagavad-gita verse 6.47," he said.
This was conveyed when the Gita Yoga which was attended by 10,000 people from various elements of cross-religious, ethnic, racial, cultural and cultural communities in the fourth National Gita Jayanti (GJN) series chose Bali as the host to celebrate the day of Bhagavad-gita revelation.The activity carries the theme "Working Together to Achieve the Unity of the Republic of Indonesia". The word "Jaya" is very meaningful here, because it covers the overall glory of the country.
The activity will take place during November and December 2018.The Bhagavad-gita revelation day is known as the "Gita Jayanti" which is commemorated every year by millions of people around the world on the 11th day of Shukla Paksha (the new moon to full moon) on the month of Margashirsh which is also the day of the Ekadasi. In 2018, this year's Gita Jayanti falls on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
In celebrating Bhagavad-gita's day in the world at the Gita Jayanti celebration, the ISKCON Indonesia Association in Indonesia formed a committee shaded by the Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) and the Director General of Hindu Guidance of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

The committee also invited volunteers to contribute directly to the community to introduce holy books and spiritual books related to the Vedas. During the two months of this activity, volunteers have distributed as many as 13,000 spiritual books and Bhagavad-gita to the people.
On that occasion, Yoga participants appealed that on December 19, 2018 was the day of the revelation of the Bhagavad-gita, known as Gita Jayanti. At the time of the Gita Jayanti, all Hindus in the world celebrated the greatness of the Bhagavad-gita by worshiping and reading verses in the Bhagavad-gita.
The National Gita Jayanti Summit event is the last event of the entire 2018 Gita Jayanti series. The top event will be held on December 22, 2018 at the Citta Kelangen Building, ISI Denpasar Campus. This activity is an opportunity to give hospitality to people from various elements of society, and to invite the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia as the guest of honor.
On that occasion he also said that the 2018 GJN was in line with the government's program to realize a safe, just and prosperous Indonesian state, which was based on the principle of kinship and mutual cooperation.
Efforts to achieve this noble goal have been conveyed in the Bhagavad-gita. Bhagavad-gita teaches morality, character building, fighting spirit, self-realization, honesty, and humility.
To that end, his party helped to provide understanding, and foster the love of the people of the importance of reading sacred literature (especially Bhagavad-gita) and to preserve the culture of the archipelago with local wisdom.

The seminar on Bhagavad-gita as the opening act for the entire 2018 National Jayanti Gita series was held on November 19, 2018 at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Speakers at the seminar were the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the Chairperson of the Central PHDI Daily Board, the Chairperson of the Bali Province PHDI, the Chairperson of the World Hindu Parisad, and the Chairperson of the Indonesian Association of ISKCON.
All speakers expected that from the beginning Hindus would begin to study the Vedic scriptures, at least read the Bhagavad-gita to form the character of the people who could support the glory of the Republic of Indonesia.
It was also arranged by various competitions for students and the public, which were packaged under the name Gita Champion, which was held on November 24, 2018 at the UNHI Campus in Denpasar.
Gita Champion consists of memorizing Bhagavad-gita sloka (elementary and junior high school categories), Dharma Wacana (junior and senior high school categories), and writing essays and testimonials (general categories). With the number of participants reaching more than 200 people for all categories, Gita Champion received a warm welcome from the participants and race builders.
Gita Champion activities are expected to be held regularly every year and become a trigger for the younger generation to start studying the scriptures.
In the Gita Yoga activities, joint yoga was carried out, the distribution of healthy food, health checks and free acupressure, and blood donation.
The event was also arranged by distributing hundreds of door prizes specifically to distribute 1,000 Bhagavad-gita books and yoga attractions from IHDN and Pesraman students. Yoga activities begin at 05.30 WITA. "So, through this series of events, we want to educate the public, so that they do not simply understand raw without knowing the meaning of yoga itself," he said.
